J6C Questions for the USSS
Washington DC 18 July 2022
The J6C has subpoenaed the records from the USSS and expects to receive them on 19 July 2022. Here is what they should look for, or ask, in priority order:
Between 18 Dec and 8 Jan what communications took place between any member of the USSS and any Trump family member, Roger Stone, Mike Flynn, Steve Bannon, Alex Jones, Stewart Rhodes, Eric Tarrio, and any other representatives of extremists organizations and those close to Trump involved in organizing events on J6.
Prior to J6, was the VPs Chief of Staff’s warning about the threat to the VP from the President raised by Tim Giebels in the chain of command? Did Agent Ornato know? If so, what communications did he engaging in relative to that information?
On J6 what thought or action was put into continuity of government plans given the threat to the VP and Speaker, numbers 2 & 3 in COG?
Was the FBI Hostage Rescue Team activated or put on standby at any point on J6?
All communications with VP Pence’s detail.
How did the USSS manage/address the fact the President did not want the VP to perform his constitutional functions?
What specific arrangements were made for the disposition of the VPs entourage after the violence broke out? By whom?
What were the communications between members of Pence’s detail and any other members of the USSS during the crisis?
All communications with respect to the security of the nuclear football carried in the VPs entourage.
How did the National Military Command Center respond to the crisis? Were they in communication with Pence’s detail? Were they in communication with any part of the USSS? What was the role of General Charles Flynn with respect to NMCC plans, concerns, and communications related to the football?
Were there any contingency plans put in place if the football was captured. If so, what were they. If not, why not.
AR-15 Intel - dissemination of this and related firearms intel and actions taken in response - across the USSS and with joint agencies/task forces, not just the conversation with Trump who said “They aren’t here to hurt me”
Command and control (C2) of USSS assets on the day. Who was in overall charge that day? What was the chain of command? What was made a priority, what was omitted? What was the rationale for these choices?

Very good list of questions, though I'm guessing that a few of them may not be answerable in a public hearing. That said, as I have advised and mentored other officers and civilian planners in the past, the org chart tells you the strategy. If the J6 Committee can firmly establish the chain of command as it was understood by all on that day, that would be a huge accomplishment.
