The man in the video above is cheered when he demands Trump kills all his political opponents. “Lock em up” is no longer the standard. Not strong enough.
That's normal, right? I mean that happened at George W Bush and Obama rallys all the time! Nothing new to see here.
At the same event, MTGs media boyfriend asks what should be done when trump gets back in. In 30 short seconds, it shifts from the 2016 slogan “Lock them up” to the 2023 slogan “take them to the train stations!”.
The interesting part was the audience response. A quick gasp at the audacity of her voicing their inner thoughts, permission from the interviewer that this is normalized commentary, and they all join in, relieved that their true selves are reflected in the people around them.
Tentative? Transgressive? Yes. But the warm response confirms the boundary has been pushed far enough out that an otherwise sweet little old lady from hometown USA is now saying all people who disagree with her extremism should be gassed to death. All perfectly normal, typical, and healthy.
Each time maga congregate, the rhetoric escalates. That, of course, is the idea. Like their vulnerable, victimized, abused, strong man, savoir, they get more desperate as they see the walls close in.
Rhetoric precedes action. Destroying norms of civilized behavior is the first step to dehumanization. That is the essential building block - the foundation stone - of a political program whose logical end point is extermination.

Far point. Except they have been using the far right media to normalize extermination of opponents for years now.
Where is the joke in a national TV “news” program airing a man screaming - “kill them all”? How exactly is that amusing? I mean, to a normi, not a Nazi.
Do you think the kind of person who responded to “will be wild” will dismiss “kill them all” as just a bit of fun? Or might they see that as a call to action? How did they respond last time? There is a track record here and the rhetoric of their leaders, and the climate of the moment, has only escalated since then. Dramatically. As their hero is charged in case after case from rape to espionage to sedition. Just like W and Obama. Normal political stuff.
They've been fed the line that the deep state conspiracy is going to jail their only protector for standing up for them. Are they just going to take that? Or is the time coming when enough is enough to save America from the commie pinko peado hordes? Just like J6.
As all this unfolds, and as I see these no doubt otherwise ordinary people get provoked into thinking and saying extraordinary things, this tune gets louder and louder in the back of my mind:
It's pretty obvious that in the context of what he's saying it's "jail them all" < I'm somebody watching the right wing for threats, this isn't one of them. He has some sort of speech impediment and he's talking about biden being a disgrace and corrupt.
We don't need to fan the flames of fear by not waiting a few minutes to really process individual reports; we do need to be prepared when violence comes, because some level imho is almost a certainty.
