The only other way to really grasp the truth about Putins efforts to hollow-out US resolve and democracy is to read the 1000 page + bi-partisan US Senate Intelligence Committee Report on Russian Active Measures Campaigns and Interference in the 2016 Election (full report at the bottom of this page). Briefly it proves
The Republican's political operation sought Russian assistance, embraced Russian assistance, capitalized on Russian assistance, lied about Russian assistance, and took steps to obstruct the investigation into Russian assistance.
But as you don’t have time to get into the report’s five volumes… Mr Parnas here can give you a verbal crib sheet.
Parnas was deep inside Trumpworld and was heavily engaged in Giuliani-led propaganda efforts in Ukraine. He knows where the bodies are buried and he spends an hour putting GPS markers on each and every grave. Including current serving members of congress who he outs as Russian assets.
Why is he doing this? To atone for his role in all of the crimes committed against American democracy by the Trump Terror Network. Crimes that, he explains, continue to this day. He strikes me as genuine in his remorse both in tone and in the content of his confession. I expect he is a marked man both by the FSB and by Trump (if he gets a chance to go on his promised retribution rampage.) Parnas is risking a lot by speaking out. He does not have to say a thing - it’s not part of some kind of plea deal. He has already done his time. To my mind, the risk he is taking confirms his credibility.
Trump is a hurricane of spin, flooding the zone with bullshit and threats, to cover up his vast criminality and that of his closest associates. The following are a few visual lists and here is just one of many detailed lists of his criminal henchmen.
So of course he will scream “Russia, Russia Russia” to bore or mesmerize people into not paying attention. This has been remarkably powerful in concealing the fact that “Russia, Russia Russia” continues to do all it can to assist maga. Im looking at you Moscow Marge. This is the European playbook that has paid such rich dividends for Putin.
Putin needs Trump every bit as much as Trump needs Putin. For both men it is now about survival. The only way Trump can avoid prison is getting into the Oval Office. The only pathway Putin has to avoid swinging from piano wire over his disastrous 3 day war (started 836 days ago) is through the Oval Office. Trump publicly promised Putin two major deals (using the same coded messaging as “stand back and stand by” and “Russia, if you are listening”. ). First he will give Putin Ukraine on a platter and second he will terminate NATO and let Putin “do whatever the hell [he] wants”.1
On Ukraine Trump said "I would have a peace deal negotiated within 24 hours." The only way that can be achieved is giving it to Russia. "I know Zelenskyy very well... I would tell Zelenskyy, ‘No more. You got to make a deal.’ I will have the deal done in one day. One day." This naturally delighted Putin who responded “We cannot help but feel happy about it.” Promises made, promises kept!
Trump of course hates Zelensky (the subject of his first impeachment) and cannot wait to sell him down the river. He does not care if it results in killing millions in the process or the collapse of democracy in Europe. In fact, as that would benefit his autocratic heroes he may see it as good policy. It would certainly silence voices against him if he does get back into office.

It should be obvious by now that Trump and his “cabal of convicts” have been useful idiots to foreign intelligence for years. Concluding comment
The clock is ticking on survival of American Democracy. Once you listen to Parnas tell his story you will understand there is no exaggeration or hyperbole in that statement. Had the Republican Party backed away from Trump over his conviction, there would be some hope. However, as fully expected, they have all doubled down.
Not only did the Speaker of the House of Representatives, number two in the line of succession after the presidency, attend Trump’s Court case in NY undermining the constitution by attacking another branch of government - he admitted that he has already checked in with his friends on the Supreme Court and they have confirmed to him that given a chance that will vacate the verdict.
"I think that the Justices on the court – I know many of them personally – I think they are deeply concerned about that, as we are. So I think they'll set this straight"
Translation: Fuck the constitution we will overturn this. Its already been decided.
This is a 5 alarm fire in its own right but it just passed along in the flow of threats and insanity as they flood the zone hoping to confuse the public up to voting day. Not that voting matters any more - they have ALREADY PROMISED to reject THE 2024 ELECTION.

Volume I, documented Moscow targeting U.S. election infrastructure.
Volume II highlighted Russia's use of social media to help advance Donald Trump's candidacy.
Volume III examined the initial U.S. response to the Russian attack.
Volume IV reviewed the intelligence community's assessment from 2016, and determined that it was accurate, Trump's insistence to the contrary notwithstanding.
Volume V represents "the most detailed account to date of the Trump campaign's embrace of Russian election interference," and included "never-before-seen evidence about Trump and Russia."
Trump is so desperate he already offered himself to sale to energy companies seeking $1bn in exchange for whatever they want from him in office.

Erik of course has his own deep links in Trumpworld separate from his sister. He may have gotten her into the cabinet. He has been engaged in all manner of interesting activities including surveilling MG HR McMaster when he was Trumps NSA. he used the same HUMINT resources to track and attempt to influence perceived enemies in Congress. Then of course he was engaged in maga related deals in the middle east and famously heavily lobbied T's NSC to hand over Afghanistan to his company. It's not blackwater any more - that changed names multiple times in an attempt to avoid scrutiny - fail - and I believe he no longer has a business interest in the rump org. I was referring above to his current companies.
I would put him along side Peter Thiel as seriously understudied key players in what has been going on. Both are billionaires but Thiel is way ahead in the money game. He is a true believer, as is Erik but Erik seems to be in it more for the money and is more interested in mechanisms of coercion. Whereas Thiel is happy to let thugs take out the trash.
