For years extremism has been used to radicalize the population. Below is a select chronological list - all with detailed examples and quotes - where maga political leaders and their propaganda minions have called for the execution of their rivals. Violent imagery and assault weapons feature in almost all of their political ads. This tells the viewers than resolving differences through negotiation, compromise and legislation is for losers. Further, the people on the other side who happen to thinking differently to you are not American citizens. They are not, in fact, people. Maga constantly tell listeners that anyone who disagrees is a pedophile. They are traitors. They are vermin. The only way to deal with vermin, is execution.

If you are surprised that all of this has resulted in an assassination attempt you do not have an understanding of political radicalization. It’s been going on for years. It will not stop at assassination. If it is allowed to continue unabated - and it will because maga just got a massive propaganda win - it will end in death camps. Likely you think that is outrageous and impossible. You will be shocked when it happens just like you are shocked right now. Your ignorance enables the extremists to win.

There was Rep. Gosar’s animation of AOC being killed Gosar.
There was Trump and Trump Junior mocking and making jokes about Paul Pelosi and the assault on him by an assailant taking a hammer to his head.
Then there was Trump at one of his rallies, saying “knock the crap out of him, and I’ll take care of your legal bills.”
And this is just three more examples of so many times the MAGA morons have used violent rhetoric and imagery. I’m sure there are many many more examples.
