This article is absolutely correct to compare our current political environment with early years of the dictatorship under Stalin and Hitler. Trumpism is a fascist movement in the flavor or Nazism; they themselves have made that abundantly clear. Those who don’t see the clear parallels haven’t so much as picked up a book or read the volumes of literature and journalism on the history of Germany between 1918 and 1945 and onward to the Nuremberg Trials. The wish-casting in this nation is absurdly dangerous and will end poorly for Americans.
Recommend people read The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich by William Shirer and The Origins of Totalitarianism by Hannah Arent. Of course I do not anticipate they will do any such thing.
